I work mostly in acrylics because I love the immediacy of the medium – the way it lets me move instinctively, without waiting for anything to dry. Each brushstroke and swipe of the palette knife becomes its own gesture, full of energy and texture. I often weave in touches of collage for a sense of whimsy and narrative layering. And fro

And from time to time, I drift into watercolours as well – it all depends on the feeling of the day and where the work wants to go.

My creative journey has taken me to experiment with many varied styles of art all the while finding inspiration through my cats, in particular my Tuxedo Cat Felix. If you look closely, you will always find a cat (Felix) in my artwork. The idea of The Groovy Cats series has given me the whimsy of storytelling through paint and texture.
